Where Ukraine is Located?

Ukraine lies in the continent of Europe. Ukraine is the second largest country in Eastern Europe. It is bordered by the Russian Federation to the east and northeast, Belarus to the northwest, Poland, Romania and Moldova to the southwest, Slovakia and Hungary to the west and the Black Sea and Sea of Azov to the south and southeast respectively. This state, known as Kievan Rus’, became a large and powerful nation, but disintegrated in the 12th century.
