Who was the first Muslim astronaut?

Prince Salman Al Saud (Saudia) was the first Muslim astronaut of the world. He travelled in space from April 29 to May 6, 1985. Prince Salman bin Abdul-Aziz is the Governor of the Riyadh Province of Saudi Arabia since 1962. He is the second youngest of the Sudairi Seven. He is reported to arbitrate disputes among the members of the royal family. He has a reputation for fairness and competence which has propelled him to be amongst the Kingdom’s most powerful royals. He is the father of Sultan, the first Muslim in space.
