The most populated city in the world is Shanghai. As China has covered almost 25% of the world’s population so it’s almost obvious that the most populated city in the world is situated in the same country. According to the recent stats, the population of Shanghai is 23 million.  The main reason of its high population is that, it’s the most advanced city in terms of commerce, industry, finance, fashion, transport, technology and tourist especially. Despite of the fact that the whole world was suffering from recession (from 2008-2009), but Shanghai showed almost double growth in its GDP. If we talk about the economy and growth, it has been recorded that Shanghai is the fastest growing city in the world as well. Shanghai has the world’s busiest container port which contributes a lot in the development of Chinese economy.
