karakum desert is located in Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan. The Karakum Desert, also spelled Kara-Kum and Gara Gum (Black Sand) is a desert in Central Asia. It is populated by formerly nomadic Turkmen who live by fishing in the Caspian Sea or raising livestock.
