Why the ice cubes are unite to form one cube if they pressed over each other?

When two ice cube are pressed, they unite to form one cube. The reason is that the high pressure melts the ice according to Le-chatelier’s principle. The temperature of molten ice drops below “0”.When the pressure is released it freezes again and so the cubes are join each other to give single cube.
