Fluted filter paper
What is the reason that the rate of filtration is greater in fluted filter paper as compared to the cone-shaped filter paper?

The greater surface area of the fluted filter paper gives the chance to the solvent to be filtered. So the rate of filtration is better than in con-shaped filter paper.
