To which country SPA news agency belongs?

SPA news agency was established in 1971. SPA is a news agency of Saudi Arabia and it stands for “Saudi Press Agency”. It is considered as the first national news agency of KSA and it’s headquarter is in Riyadh. As all the working of this agency is done under the supervision of ministry of information, they have to report all the issues, news and other information to the ministry for prior approval before publication. Their main motive is to pass on different kind of information to the citizens of KSA about all the up to date events happening in the KSA and worldwide. News agents and correspondents of SPA collect and distribute the most important and accurate information at the domestic level as well as international level to facilitate their readers.

In a short span of time, it became the most authentic and main source of news broadcasting in KSA. The reason behind this was that they had shown a very professional outlook of their services and deliver real world information in time. They go for the continuous use of latest wire and wireless networking to provide their users with the rapid information. Since SPA has been established, it is working to collaborate with the agencies of other Arab, international and developing countries to enhance their broadcasting.

Back in May 2012, it was decided to separate the Saudi Television and Radio from Saudi Press agency. Now both of these institutions are working as independent organizations. SPA is using three different languages, with the translation, for its services i.e. Arabic, English and French.
