Longest Glacier Of Pakistan is Siachen glacier (Northern Areas). The Siachen Glacieris located in the eastern Karakorum range in the Himalaya Mountains, just east of the Line of Control between India-Pakistan. The total length of Siachin glacier is 70 km. Other prominent glaciers of Pakistan are Hispar, Biafo, Baltoro and Batura. Siachin glacier is entirely controlled by India and it is the disputed territory between Pakistan and India. It is also the highest battlefield in the world with a height of 21,000 ft (6400 m) above the sea level. The Siachen Glacier lies immediately south of the great watershed that separates China from the Indian subcontinent in the extensively glaciated portion of the Karakoram that is sometimes called the “Third Pole.” The glacier lies between the Saltoro Ridge immediately to the west and the main Karakoram range to the east.
