PANA news agency, also known as PANAPRESS, is an African official news agency. In Addis Ababa, PANA was established on 20th July, 1979 by the Organization of African Unity. The basic motive of this news agency was to enhance the communication within the African continent.
Initially this agency was facing many financial issues specially to cope up with the severe technical problems. Currently they are using internet, intranet and extranet networks to keep an uninterrupted flow of information in Africa.
