Which country is called the “Cockpit of Europe”?

Belgium is one of the largest European county. Belgium is also called the Cockpit of Europe because it has been the site of more European battles than any other country in Europe. In history lots of European powers fought with each other for the supremacy of this area, for this reason Belgium is known as Cockpit of Europe.
