Which is Called The Gift of The Nile?

The ancient Egypt is called the gift of the Nile and there are many historical evidences to it as well. According to some historians, there was a lot of water that ran off the mountains after heavy rains in spring season. This water used to flow so heavily that usually would cause the Nile to flood. When this water moved away, a huge mud of black fertile soil would have left behind which was called as the gift of Nile by ancient Egyptians. A more unique aspect of this flooding was that Nile also gave fresh water to the residents of its surroundings; it provided support for transportation and trade, materials for constructions and the wild papyrus weed that was used for making papers and it grew along the shores of the Nile. A high standard of living was also the gift of the Nile for ancient Egyptians because annual floods had restrained it to be a barren state and if Nile would not exist, Egypt would be a desert. The Nile also has a significant role in the development of Egyptian civilization. Because of its important, the old calendar of Egypt was also associated with 3 cycles of the Nile.
