Accelerometer is an electromechanical instrument used for measuring acceleration or vibrations. It measure weight per unit mass which means that accelerometer first measures weight and then on its behalf an accelerometer measures the acceleration of any free-fall reference frame relative to itself. These are static forces. The SI unit for accelerometer is (m/s^2) or if you wanted to write in CGS, it is GAL.
