Deepest Lake in Canada: North America
Great Slave is the deepest lake in Canada. Being the third deepest lake in the world, Great Slave is also the deepest lake in North America. Its maximum depth is 614 meters (2014 ft). It is 480 km long and 19 to 109 km wide. It covers an area of 27,200 km2. It is situated in North Western territories of this continent. Hay, Slave and Taltson rivers are the main tributaries of this lake. Eastern shore of the lake is like “tundra” and western shore has forests. Because of its natural scenery, the lake looks beautiful and attractive.
