“Lake Crater” is the deepest lake in America and the ninth deepest lake in the world. In terms of average depth, Crater Lake is the fourth deepest lake in the world. Specifically talking about the western hemisphere, it becomes the second deepest lake in this region. Its maximum depth is 594 meters (1949 ft) with an average depth being 1,148 feet, while the dimensions is being 8 to 10 Km in length. The lake is situated in Caldera of mount Mazama (Oregon—USA). The height of Lake Crater is 2000 feet from the sea level. The beauty of lake combines a notable depth, purity of water, blue color, surrounding cliffs and two nearby islands. Winter on Lake Crater accumulates snow while summer brings heavy precipitation, which are the only sources of water in this lake. There is not a single river coming in or flowing out of the river.
