Napoleon Bonaparte was a French military and political leader. He was born on 15th August, 1769 at Corsica, a French island in the Mediterranean Sea. Corsica is the capital of Ajaccio. Napoleon’s home, Casa Buonaparte, is used as a museum in Corsica these days. Corsica is also known as “Isle of beauty”.
Napoleon was a great warrior. He was defeated by the British in his last battle, known as the battle of Waterloo. British was very cruel, they imposed the confinement on Napoleon after his defeat. That’s why he spent his last six years in the island of “Saint Helena”, which is the part of British territory. Saint Helena is an island of Volcanic origin in the South Atlantic Sea. It has been concluded that he died of stomach cancer but some scholars believe that he was the victim of poisoning
